-Unlike so many other 3D toys and products which just frustrate and disappoint - this toy works as advertised! The provided glasses make any bright colors appear to float or plunge back into surfaces. Each color in the rainbow appears at a different depth, so almost anything your child draws will have an interesting 3D result.
The great thing about this is that the glasses also work with drawings made with markers, pen, crayon, and even computer and video images. Anything with bright colors will pop to life.
Looking up 'chromadepth' on the internet yielded many other images which appear in glorious 3D when wearing the provided glasses.
-We got this product today when we saw it in the store. I was afraid it would be a disappointment and just cause frustration. But once we started using it we realized what a GREAT product it was! The colors really do jump out at you and make you want to touch them and put your hands through them. We used this with a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. It was perfect for sharing because there was plenty of chalk to go around and they would only use the glasses to see their artwork. After a while the 3 year old really got into it and just kept staring at her work with the glasses on saying "Wow" over and over! Here is a hint for when you first start using it, try to make thick lines or circles colored in with a different color outline. If you just have lines it will look good, but not great. When you have thicker lines or shapes with different colors is when it really POPS!
- Wow..I was amazed at this product. I've seen many commercials on TV and thought this would be a gimmick...and that the 3D effects would be uneffective.
However, boy was I surprised! It works like it says it does...and my kids LOVED it. When you wear the INCLUDED 3D glasses...everything really works as described. I love it! The kids love it! Overall this product is just what everyone says it is...AWESOME. Your kid will love it.
- this really is different and fun. The kids used over half of it the first day they got it and played with it for hours. It's also a pretty good way to teach them how the optical illusion of 3D works.
Considering how many different toys are out there in this price range this is one of the best for the price. It's fun for the kids, since it's outdoor chalk it's not messy (inside :), it's educational and creative, and it doesn't take up a lot of room (i.e. it doesn't junk up the play room) or make annoying noises (or require batteries). It really is just about the perfect small gift.
As a present that the kids will enjoy and the parents will still invite you over it's ideal.
- All I can say is why didn't they have this when I was little!! The 3 d chalk is really cool. It is like the 3 d movies except the drawings don't fly at you. Makes the regular chalk seem old and boring.
- this 3-d chalk is awsome, the whole family cant help but want to join in the fun.all my grandkids went crazy for this and everyone had a lot of fun.had no luck finding it in stores, either they didnt carry it or they were constantly out.
- This is just a fun set. It actually does work! Very fun! If you have more kids I would buy a set for each because they will fight over the glasses though. We just make them take turns put its a pain because they always want them on when we are outside doing sidewalk chalk.
- My sons wanted these 3-D chalks since they first saw them in the store and finally got them last month. What a great gift! Not only do they learn the concepts behind primary/secondary colors, but they have a great time coming up with new things to draw, turning our entire driveway into an art gallery which washes away with a good rain or the hose. You can't go wrong with sidewalk chalk but the added "3-D" experience just makes it cool.
-I bought 2 sets of the 3-D Sidewalk Chalk, one for each of my 6 & 7 yr. old granddaughters. They immediately fell in love with it and were happily creating their "art" when my 15 yr. old granddaughter and her friend happened on by. Needless to say, the little ones had to negotiate with their older sister to use their own chalk - It seems the older girls, loved this stuff as much as the younger children. I am very satisfied with this product.
-Believe it or not, but this actually creates cool 3D effects. We had every kid on our block over along with their parents taking turns swapping off the 3D glasses to look at the drawings on our driveway.
Be aware that each pack only comes with one pair of glasses, so if more than one child will be using the chalk, it wouldn't hurt to buy two packages for the extra pair of glasses.
-I was stunned that this actually worked. The colors absolutely float above the others. Great product that does as promised!!!
- I was amazed to see that the drawings actually look 3D with the glasses on. My 9 year old daughter just loves using them. Many enjoy looking at her drawings in 3D.
